New Series! - Fit-Trish

Happy Friday everyone! We made it! I am sitting here thinking about all of the things I should do this weekend, but in reality I want to laze around and do nothing. Ever have one of those weeks? I have been having A LOT of those weeks lately. I have finally decided enough is enough and I need to get my butt moving. I am bringing you a new series every Friday where I discuss fitness and healthy living. I am embarking on a journey to lose some weight and get healthier.. on a budget.

Getting healthy can be really expensive. If you follow any fad diet you will probably fork out a lot of cash. Between food, equipment, supplements, and apparel you can be dropping hundreds of dollars in no time. I want to show you ways to get healthy without breaking the bank. You can achieve this with one main thought in mind. Stay Positive. Negativity gets you nowhere in life. Remember that.
Think Positive

Since this is the first week in this series I wanted to start off with one of the best tips I can offer when embarking on a weight loss journey. It's free and can really motivate you to getting yourself going. What is this awesome free thing? Take pictures! Full body shots wearing a sports bra and shorts if you are a girl and shirtless and shorts if you are a guy. This may sound scary at first, but once you start to see the changes you will appreciate that first scary photo.

I took my photo Monday night. It was really hard to look at because I saw how much I have let myself go over the past year. Even though it is hard to look at for me, it is also a reminder to work harder. I am even going to share my picture. It's hard for me but it's the only way I will continue to do better and get back to a healthy weight.

Here it is. The most awful picture I have ever seen of myself. I know its not pretty and I know that means I have a lot of work ahead of me. I have accepted the challenge and now I am ready to share this adventure with all of you! Keep coming back every Friday for more tips and tricks to achieving a healthy lifestyle on a budget. We can motivate each other to a happier, healthier life!

Share your stories with me! Are you embarking on a journey?

Does anyone else just love the heck out of Influenster like I do? I have been a member with them just about 18 months and have been invited to try some pretty awesome products. This month I was invited into the GoVoxBox which included some awesome products geared towards what I would call an active lifestyle. This made me super happy due to the fact that I am premiering a new series on Friday which is going to be geared towards a healthier lifestyle on a budget.

Before I get into the goodies I wanted to talk a little about what Influenster is and why you want to join! As stated on the website, Influenster is a community of trendsetters, social media masterminds, and educated consumers who live to give opinions of products and experiences. My trip to the deep south! -Picture heavy!

Happy Monday everyone! If you're anything like me today, you are enjoying a day off to remember all of the men and women who have fought to keep this country free. I hope you all take a moment to put down that beer and hotdog and thank a service man for all that they do! Because it is a lax kind of day I chose today to show you all some of my vacation photos. So without further adieu: My vacation to the deep south!

Travel Time!

Getting up early always seems to be the way when flying. We were up at about 4:30am so we could make a 6:40 flight. We made it in time with an hour to spare due to my trusty travel tips (Which you can find here). Once into the terminal we got notice that the plane was delayed due to a crew illness. The plane was there waiting for us yet we couldn't get on. It was about a 4.5 hour delay before we were finally able to board and get in the air. We ended up missing our connection flight and spent a few hours in Detroit waiting for our second flight. While in Detroit these pictures were taken:

We had some lunch which off course included a beer and saw a Sanrio Surprise. I haven't seen one of these stores in ages! I loved Hello Kitty and all things Sanrio as a kid! It was very cool to see. After the 3 hour layover we were on our way again into the air. So pretty. Calm and blue skies ahead.
It was so beautiful to see the clouds and the sky from above. I am always sitting by the wing when I fly though. Not sure why! We landed later than anticipated due to the delays throughout the day so Saturday pretty much passed as a travel day and once into the hotel we crashed early for the night.

Sunday was the day I had been waiting for. I was going to finally meet up with a friend who I met first in South Carolina when I was in Kindergarten! We were both military "brats" as they so called it back then. Moving all about every few years. It was such a surprise when her and her family showed up on our door step in Texas the summer of 1996. We were both going to be in 8th grade the following school year. It was amazing to see her, but since then we haven't crossed paths again. Social media has played a big part in bringing us back in contact. We had an opportunity to get together and I made my trip to the deep south at last to see her and meet her family.
It was so much fun to get to see her! I loved every minute of it. The rest of the trip was lots of catching up, food, and beer of course. I will leave the rest of this post with those photos as they are pretty self explainatory!

I had a wonderful trip and definitely needed this coffee mug my friend made me the next day. Speaking was optional due to being so tired! I hope you all enjoyed my pictures. I am sorry there weren't more! Have a great memorial day!

Why I loathe social media in the summer

I know, I know, I promised vacation deets today. I really wanted to show off my fun time off the radar but something really irked me and I needed to vent about it. It is that time of year (Summer) where social media really REALLY annoys me. I am sure some of you are going to read this and roll your eyes (and that's ok) but I needed to get this off my chest before I un-friend everyone and that wouldn't be fun either. (This post isn't meant to offend anyone, these are just my opinions. Everyone is different and you may disagree but that is okay to my friend!)

The first thing that absolutely drives me bonkers is all of the season finale spoilers! I really hate to bitch about this one but seriously, NOT everyone can watch a show when it airs. Plus you have all the people in other time zones who have no choice but to wait. Please refrain from immediately telling the world who died or what crazy shit went down. I DIDN'T SEE IT YET! THANKS!

The next thing that I could live without is everyone on social media becoming a meteorologist. "OMFG It is SO hot outside! I can't even deal! It needs to cool down!" Okay people we all know its hot outside. It may even be hot inside depending on your living situation. But the point is we had a really cold winter all over the USA and now it is warm and everyone is crying about it. Take a chill pill! (Literally!)

I love taking vacations over the summer just as much as everyone else, but seriously do we need to do a day by day countdown? We get it, you are excited about going to Mississippi to visit your BFF from kindergarden (Yes I just made fun of myself :) but you do not need to post about it everyday for 4 weeks straight.

Speaking of counting down to a vacation, you also get the "I need to get in shape" posts along with "I am going to work out now and look hot for my vacation" which is in 4 weeks as we learned from previous posts.  I get it, we all want to look good for our summer vacations, but unfortunately this usually can't be fully achieved in one month like some magazines claim. You need to have a healthy lifestyle year round if you want to look "hot" in that little bikini.

Work it girls! (Source)

The last thing I really get annoyed at is all of the meaningless full day events posts. "I went to 27 BBQ's today and only ate one hotdog but I think I went swimming in a lake, a pool and a pond. It was fun. I will go and do it again tomorrow but this time I might try a hamburger." Must we know every detail of your summer day? This is how you get stalkers ya know!

I hope you found some humor in some of these summer social media hates of mine. I really don't like to complain. but after 2 of my tv shows being spoiled this week I was absolutely steaming at the ears.

What are some of your social media pains in the butts? Anything annoy you? Share below!

Blog Updates

Ahhh it's been a long few days of fun, delays, and alcohol.. I am probably half asleep right now being I am pre-writing this due to being half asleep. See how that works? :) Anywho, I will do a whole post on my trip in a few days.

The main point of this post is to make the decision to only put up new posts 3 times a week. A the present time I am spending approximately 50 hours at work in a very stressful environment and as much as I  loving blogging I am having a hard time keeping a balance at the moment.

I am thinking about doing a Monday-Wedneaday-Friday schedule. This will give me time to really pour my heart into my writing and bring more quality posts. I decided to start blogging as an outlet and I don't want it to turn into one of my stresses.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week and stay tuned for my Friday trip post! Can't wait to share all the fun details with you guys!

Pack like a champ

"I've got my ticket for the long way 'round
Two bottle whiskey for the way
And I sure would like some sweet company
Oh, I'm leaving tomorrow. What do you say?"

Okay I do have my tickets, but I think bringing whiskey would be frowned upon and I already have some sweet company. Oh, and yeah, I am leaving tomorrow. Where you ask? Why I'm glad you asked! I have been keeping a secret from the world, and I am so excited to finally tell you! I am boarding a plane and heading down to the deep south to visit my best friend from kindergarten! We attended school together in the *gasp* 80's and reunited for a few days in the late 90's and its now been about 18 years since we have last seen each other. Thankfully the internet and social media reunited us again a few years ago and now I am finally getting to meet up with her and meet her family!

I now have an opportunity to show off my awesome travel tips. You see the first time I stepped onto an airplane by myself as an adult (I was 21) it just happened to be when all of those fun rules went into effect. You know the ones about liquids and little baggies and all that jazz? I have traveled a lot since then and have picked up some tips to get you in and out quickly. The tips I am sharing today will help you save money and time when traveling.

  • Checking bags aren't cheap these days kids, so if you can cram all your stuff into a carry on you will be golden. You are allowed one carry on (Up to 45 in/115 cm (14 x 9 x 22 in or 36 x 23 x 56 cm) and one personal item such as a purse or laptop bag. Ladies you can pack a lot in there if you follow the tips below.
This is the largest you can go with a carry on. I fit it all in for my 4 day trip!

  • Get familiar with where you are going and what you are planning to do. I always start checking the weather 3 days before traveling to pack the appropriate items. This will keep your clothing options limited and won't cram up your bag with unnecessary items.
  • Pack clothes that can be mixed and matched. This will allow you to make multiple outfits so you can save room in your luggage. This will save you lots of space in that carry on for souvenirs and other random things you may pick up.
  • Make sure you have all of your liquids in the notorious plastic baggy so you're ready. This gets you through security so much faster if you are prepared.
Worse picture ever.. but it is my baggy. I crammed everything into that baby!

  • Leave anything at home that you are unsure of. If you are nervous about something or really unsure, either look it up or just leave it at home. It will save you the frustration later.
  • Wear shoes that can easily be slipped off. You will be required to take them off. They don't care if you are wearing boots that are laced up to your knees. They must come off.
  • Dress comfortable. This is not a fashion show ladies and gents. You will be shuffled from place to place and then forced to sit next so someone for the duration of your trip. Even if you are in first class, it is still close quarters and being uncomfortable is never fun.
Okay, now that we are packed like a champ, avoided frustrations in security, and saved lots of money on luggage fees, we can enjoy our trip! I am off on my adventure! See you all back here on Wednesday!

In the mean time I have some awesome guest bloggers coming your way Monday and Tuesday. On Monday you can expect some fitness humor from Christine over at The So-Called Homemaker and Tuesday, Stephanie from The Life of a Mother and Teacher will be talking about why she blogs.
I hope you enjoy what they have in store for you!

Love My Toothbrush!

As some of you know (Okay maybe none of you know) I just got over strep throat. (Life edit: I am battling round 2 of strep throat now! Arg!) I haven't had strep throat since I was like 12. Let me tell you, having it at 31 is a bitch! It came after having an endoscopy which already had my throat feeling a little uneasy, so full on strep was pretty awful. Anyways enough whining about that. My doctor strongly recommended I throw away my toothbrush after 2 days of being on the medication in order to not re-infect myself. Got it Doc.. Don't want that EVER again! (To late! I somehow managed to re-infect myself!)

I had been meaning to throw away the one I was using, mostly because it was not a good fit for me. If you read my blog before (You can read about it here) you would know I was using the Colgate Optic White toothbrush and it was rather large and really irritating to my gums. I was contacted by Colgate to talk more about my experience and we came to conclusion it was just not the toothbrush for me. They were kind enough to send me a coupon to get a new toothbrush to try. I chose the Colgate Slimsoft.

Look at those lovely bristles!

Let me tell you, this baby is like a dream come true to my gums. Every time I brush with it I feel like the bristles are giving each tooth a nice warm hug. It's such a nice feeling. The bristles are 17x slimmer than normal and really get in between the teeth nicely. They are so soft and gentle to my gums. I am trading my old toothbrush in for this baby full time. Mr. Optic White is taking a permanent vacation.

I am super happy with this toothbrush and will be repurchasing it when this one is ready to go (Well this will happen sooner than I had hoped! Stupid Strep!). I had such a fantastic experience with Colgate and their excellent customer service. I highly recommend letting companies know about products that do not meet your expectations or cause you some form of mishap. Most of the time these incidents can be resolved and the company gains valuable information about their products and usually gains a loyal customer if the interaction goes well.

So what do you think? Could you fall in love with your toothbrush? Which one do you use? Why do you like it?

So sick and tired of being sick and tired

Since September I have not been feeling "good". Food has been my enemy off and on and I am constantly worrying about eating. I am gaining weight left and right and I feel like I am eating less and less. I have been sick more this year than I ever remember.  I have gone through numerous tests, all coming back with the same result: Normal. I have spent to much money and lost to much sleep over this mysterious illness. As much as I don't want to believe there is something seriously wrong with me, it would be nice to have a diagnosis.

Over the past 8 months I started to notice a constant in my life that I am starting to believe is the main culprit for my "illness". It saddens me to believe all of my problems have come from this. This nasty little bugger is stress. I didn't want to believe it at first; because how could stress be the main reason for my problems? I am constantly bloated, my stomach is upset and I get headaches galore. I have trouble sleeping, have pain in my back and often feel like I am having a heart attack. Can something as little as stress cause this? I did a little research and ended up on stress.org where they listed 50 common symptoms of stress. The answers I got were shocking to me.

# 1 on the list was frequent headaches.
# 5 is neck ache, back pain and muscle spasms.
# 14 lists heartburn, stomach pain and nausea.
# 19 chest pain, heart palpitations. and rapid pulse.
# 26 Insomnia, nightmares, and disturbing dreams.

There they all were. All of my symptoms listed on a common list of stress related symptoms. As I looked through the list I noticed others that I have experienced but weren't as severe. I am not a doctor or trying to self diagnose myself, but this seems like the logical answer to my question. What is wrong with me? All of the other tests have come back fine and I am so tired of hearing "Normal". Tired of being sick. Tired of missing fun events because I don't feel well. Tired of avoiding food because I "think" it is causing the pain. Tired of missing work. Tired of spending money on what seems like a lost cause. I am just plain sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Now the main question: How do I lower my stress level?

I have identified the major stress in my life and it's a hard one to get rid of. My job
Most people find that their job and money are the highest levels of stress that they experience. I am struggling with money like most people are, but I mostly blame my stress on my work environment. I would gladly take a lower paying job if it helped me release some of this stress.

I have taken on some new things to try and lessen my stress:
I started taking a 30 minute walk every day at lunch.
I have been trying to leave work at work.
I have started to make lifestyle changes with my diet.
I am drinking more water.
I am learning to breathe it out when things get overwhelming.

So far these changes seem to be making a good impact. I am starting to feel less sick to my stomach daily and I have lost a few pounds. I cannot change the situation at work, so I will change the way I look at it. With me luck because I am going to need it!

How do you all deal with stress? Any major things I should be changing or adding to my daily life? Anything advice would be much appreciated.

I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired ya'll.

Meet Rocky

While I was home over the weekend it made me realize how much I missed my cat Rocky. He was with me for a little while when he was a kitten, but I had developed an allergy to the kitten dander and had to give him up. My parents took him in with open arms and have cared for him over the last year and a half.
Baby Rocky

Since he has been living with them he has formed a special bond with my dad and another one of the cats in the house. He is happy there. As much as I would love to take him back now that he is grown up, I don't wan to dislocate him from all that he knows.

So for now he will stay with my parents and I will visit him when I am home. He still loves me just as much and that makes me happy. So without further adieu here are some cute little facts about my little man Rocky.
Adult Rocky. Always getting in to trouble with his bud Chip!

Deets
Name: Rocky
Nicknames: Rock, Rockstar, Rock-a-doodle, Rockers
Age: 2
Breed: Black and White Mut lol
Eye Color: Green
Sex: Male

  • He has acquired a paranoia while outdoors and will not stay out if the front door to the house gets closed
  • He likes to sleep and hide underneath blankets. He will cry if he can't get under one.
  • He has acute asthma and often wheezes when its to warm outside.
  • He is OBSESSED with little foil balls. He will ran around with them in his mouth for hours.
  • He is sort of like a vegetarian when it comes to people food. He only likes things like carrots, lettuce and noodles. No meats for him.
  • He has a high jump. He will do all sorts of acrobatics when playing and often jumps straight up in the air.

I hope you have enjoyed this little profile on my favorite kitty. He is one of the loves of my lives and I am happy I got to introduce him to you all!

Do you all have a special pet in your life? How do they make you feel special?

Ode to Mom

Celebrating Mom is something we should do everyday. Mom's have a tough job and that job doesn't end once we grow to be an adult. They will continue to worry and support us through every aspect of our lives.

Me and my momma a few years ago. Love this photo of us!

This weekend is Mother's Day and I am proud to say I have a mother that I look up to and admire. She is a strong woman who has never swam through life easy. She was a military wife and raised 2 kids at times alone, while my father served for our country.

She has been there for me and my brother through the thick and the thin. She has wiped our tears, bandaged our cuts, taken care of us when sick, and shown us tough love when necessary. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be the person I am today.

I love my mom dearly and I am so excited I will get to spend this weekend with her. I don't get to do that as often as I'd like now that I live 2 hours away. I am going to soak up every minute I get and enjoy my day with her.

How are you celebrating with you Mom this weekend? Any special plans or traditions? I'd love to hear about them!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!

The Ultimate Humiliation

Have you ever had one of those moments where you are standing at the cashier ready to pay for your lunch, or your groceries, or some kind of merchandise and that dreadful moment happens? Your card is DECLINED. I was out to lunch yesterday with a coworker and that dreadful moment happened to me. I was horrified. I consider this one of the top humiliating moments one can encounter. (Side note: I hear humiliation gets worse with children. Oh the horror!)

Let me backtrack to what brought on such a horrifying moment. I had this brilliant idea last week to schedule all of my bill payments for the month online. I wanted to act like the responsible adult I am and get everything paid on time. Now this would of been perfectly fine, had I not scheduled ALL of the payments to be taken out on the same day during one pay period. This lead to me overdrawing my account.

Now if I were independently rich, made an awesome salary, or sold drugs for a living, this wouldn't be a problem. However I was not lucky enough to have fallen into a large sum of money, my job does not pay awesome, and I highly discourage doing or selling drugs. I came to the hard reality that if I want to try to get ahead I need to be smart about it. I need to make sure things are scheduled evenly throughout the month to make sure such a thing does not occur again.

I learned a hard, valuable lesson by attempting to be a responsible adult. On a positive note, all of my bills are paid for the month. The bad part is I will have to restrain myself from making any unnecessary purchases until I get my next paycheck.

Have any of you ever had this happen? What do you find to be on the top of your humiliation list?  Leave me your answers in the comments!

 -------------------

On a happier more fun note, I have almost completed my first book in my very first book challenge, which you can check out here. I am still looking for some suggestions for some of the books in a few of the catergories. I am also planning to do an update on this weekly, giving some reviews on the books I am reading. Does this interest all of you? Let me know down below!

Hoarding: Beauty Addition Style

I was going through all of my beauty supplies last night, trying to weed out everything that's either expired or I never use (There is A LOT..trust me!). I still shock myself on how much I collect and never even open. It really is an addiction. Do they offer meetings for that?
"Hi, My name is Trish, and I am a beauty product-aholic."
Or maybe there is a reality show out there for me. Something along the lines of:
"Hoarders: Beauty Products Edition." Casting for this? Call me!

Having an addiction of this interest can get quite pricey. I really have slowed down over the past year, then I started signing up for things and more stuff just kept on coming!

I had 2 reasons for my mission last night. And trust me, going through my makeup alone is enough to make me want to pull out my hair.

# 1. I needed to make some room for some of my new products that I really am using these days. I felt it was only fair they have a home other than sitting on my bathroom sink.

#2 Picking out the perfect trial sized products for my upcoming trip. More on that coming up next week ;)

I got everything in some form or organization and finally had room to add some new things. A few weeks ago I was sent a new skincare regimen from Yves Rocher to review for them.

They sent me over the Sebo Vegetal collection for combination to oily skin. I was sent:
  • Step 1: Cleanse: Purifying Cleansing Gel
  • Step 2: Tone: Purifying Micellar Water 2 in 1
  • Step 3: Hydrate and Mattify: Zero Blemish Gel Cream
My skin is a hot mess lately. It has nothing to do with the products as it was a hot mess prior to their arrival. I have been using the products for a few weeks now and have noticed it does do wonders for my scaly dry skin in the morning that than normally morphs into a shine-tastic afternoon. It has been keeping my bipolar skin at bay without over irritating my already broken out face.

I really do like these products and will most likely repurchase once these run out. They do make my skin feel really nice and I have experienced zero irritation or added breakouts. The products are paraben free (Yay!) as well as mineral oil free (Whatever that means. But I'm sure its bad for you!). They are also priced decently and the best part when it comes to cost is these products go a long way! Yay less buying, more usage!

Five fairly common things

It's that time of year again when you need to start mowing your lawn. The snow is all gone and that brown stuff that is uncovered will soon be lively and green and need to be mowed weekly. As I looked out the window today thinking this, it dawned on me that I have NEVER mowed a lawn before. Say what?! True story.

This then got me thinking of all the things I have never done, but seemed like fairly common things. The list I came up with seriously makes me feel like I live under a rock. So without further adieu, five things I have never done, but am fairly certain are common.

#1 Never been camping: I grew up with a father, who's idea of camping was renting a "motel" room instead of a "hotel" room. Sleeping outdoors in a tent on the ground was way to much work in his eyes. If you wanted to see things like bugs and dirt, stay in a motel, he'd say. (Completely aware this sounds absolutely crazy) Now that I am older and have my own idea of what camping really is, I have finally decided this will be the summer I will experience it. Although, I have recently saw an ad for "glamping" and that sounds wonderful too!

#2 Never been Skiing: I spent the better half of my life living in the northeast. Not only do I live up north, I've spent most of my adult life living in the mountains. Where it snows. A lot. This still never got me excited enough to want to suit up in layers upon layers, then strap more layers of equipment on my body, only to travel to the top of a mountain where I will be forced to fall back down (Yes, fall. Because that's what I do on snow and ice). No current plans to pursue this. Ever.

#3 Never donated blood: Seriously though, I have given blood, it just wasn't for the greater cause. It seems like every time I had the opportunity to donate my blood, I was either sick or just had "donated" blood to find out why I was sick. I am sure I have "donated" enough of my blood over the years to fill a blood bank, but sadly it didn't go there. Maybe that should be a goal this year. Maybe.

#4 Never stood in line for a Black Friday sale: As much as I am a thrifty shopper, ain't nothing coming in between me and my sleep. Getting up while it's still dark to go out and fight someone for a toaster is not only insane, it's scary. I would like to keep all of my body parts thank you. No toaster is worth losing a limb over, or in some cases your life! Shop online kids. Most of the time the deals there are WAY better than any crazy midnight special.

#5 Never been to a drive in movie theater: When I first moved up north, there was a cute little drive in about 15 minutes from my house. I was only a freshman in high school at that point so I didn't drive. I also didn't have many friends so there went that idea. By the time I had friends who drove the drive in was replaced with a car dealership. It was a sad day. Good news is after I mentioned this to my boyfriend, he promised to take me to a nearby one this summer. I knew there was a reason I keep him around.

So there you have it, my life under a rock!

Summer Book Challenge!

Have you ever had one of those days that started off good and then you got some news that just bummed you out? That's how my day went. I was walking around in a pretty gray mood until I remembered I had a new book at home to read. My day was looking up. I would go home and curl up on my couch with my new book and escape from my gray day.

I was suddenly very happy I had decided to participate in the Semi-Charmed Summer Book Challenge. I really love to read but have been really lacking in picking up a new book lately. My cities annual book sale started this past weekend and this challenge encouraged me to go and pick up some new books at very discounted prices.

This Challenge runs from May 1st to August 31st. There are 13 books total which I feel is very doable. I have posted the categories with the 6 books I have committed to so far. I am still debating the other 7.

The categories are as follow:

Freebie! Read any book that is at least 200 pages long.
Read a book that was written before you were born.
Finish reading a book you couldn't finish the first time around. Divergent by Veronica Roth
Read a book from the children’s section of the library or bookstore. 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson

Read a book that is on The New York Times' Best Sellers List when you begin reading it. The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
Read a historical fiction book that does not take place in Europe.
Read a book another blogger has already read for the challenge.
Read a book with “son(s),” “daughter(s)” or “child(ren)” in the title. Please Excuse My Daughter by Julie Klam
Read a book that was/will be adapted to film in 2014. A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby

Read a book written by a blogger.
Read a biography, autobiography or memoir. Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Woman's Prison by Piper Kerman

Read a pair of books with antonyms in the titles.

What do you think of the books I have chosen so far? Do you have any suggestions for the categories I am still deciding on? I would love recommendations!

I am really excited to get this started. I really want to succeed in getting all of the categories completed as they will introduce me to some new books I may not of thought to read prior.

Have any of you participated in a reading challenge? Did your succeed?  Give me all your feedback and join me if you feel the urge!

Wish me luck!

Welcome, Welcome to my new home!

Hi! I'm Trish. I just moved in here at Blogger. I've been hanging out on the other side of the internet on Weebly. I'm sure you've heard of it. No? That's okay. I am here now to make a fresh start.

So here I am! Let me formally introduce myself. As you read above, the name is Trish. I am a working girl in my 30's who just wants a voice in the world. I come off as shy and never do well with first encounters.

What I really enjoy: Writing, Travel,  Photography, Eye shadow, Food, Freebies, Reading, and Concerts.

Since I am such a fan of those things listed up there, you can bet I am going to write about them. If you are familiar with my original page you also probably know it started off as a product review blog. I have since changed my direction, but still enjoy reviewing things and will probably try to do one a week.

I have some exciting things coming up in my life, and I can't wait to share them with you!
Also because I have decided to move platforms for my blog, I am unable to move all my previous posts. I will keep a link here to that site so you can check it out if the feeling hits. I have also decided to use this to my advantage and will re-purpose some of those posts to better suit this site. A little refresher to some of my original readers and something new for my new readers. It's a win/win. Wouldn't you agree?

So there you have it. I am really excited to be here. Thank you for joining me as I find my place in the blogosphere.

Welcome to what is going to be the new home to my blog, The Trish List. I am currently over at trishlistblog.weebly.com but will be making the move over here soon. I hear this is going to be a hard move so I am not sure what I will bring with me, and what I will start fresh with. Maybe starting fresh is the better option. A way to re-purpose what I have learned in the last 2 months. I hope you will keep coming back to check on me. In the mean time have a great Thursday!
