Dress Fix

Last month I posted a Stitch Fix reveal that ended up turning more into a body image discussion. It's okay though because I feel like fashion and body image go hand in hand more and more these days. I was not really feeling the items I received and it also made me super self conscious about sharing the photos on the internet.

I had mixed reviews across social media on my feelings on my image after having a baby. It happens. We won't always get the responses we want. It's life. Needless to say I did not end up picking a dress from the fix for the wedding I am going to next month.

I went ahead and requested a new stylist for my most recent fix, which was again for dresses. I had a fix between the last one I showed and this one. It was really not a pleaser so I chose not to feature it. I will say, my new stylist nailed it for me. I provided some feedback on what I was really after and it delivered.

I had four beautiful dresses to choose from and they all made me feel beautiful. I am excited to share these photos with you this month.

For those of you unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, it is a monthly clothing subscription where you get a personal stylist to send you 5 pieces according to your profile. You have the opportunity to write your stylist a note each month further customizing your fix. You pay a $20 styling fee each month to receive the fix, which is then deducted from the cost of anything you keep from your fix. If you keep all 5 items you also receive a 25% discount. Pretty great right? If you have interest in trying out the fix, I would appreciate it greatly if you used my affiliate link.

THML Vittoria Embroidered Dress

This dress was very comfortable. It fit nicely and it covered all of my problem spots. I had a hard time sending this one back, but I have quite a few black dresses in my closet and I didn't feel like this one would fit the theme of the wedding I am attending. Maybe a dress for another time.

Violet & Red Desiree Suede Sandal

I really, really, really loved these sandals. They were a fun color and fit pretty comfortably for first time wear. The one thing I did not love about them were the price. I am on a bit of a budget watch lately due to some medical bills from having baby bloob. I really wanted to scoop these up, but the main focus on this box was finding a dress. I am crossing my fingers that I can request them again later on.

Kaileigh Meesha Faux Wrap Knit Dress

This dress is like Heaven on Earth to me! I am a purple fanatic and this was so much fun to wear. It also will go nicely into the fall with any other events I may have coming up. It kept me put together in all the places that needed a little help and it was very flattering. I kept this dress! Now I have another dress that I got recently that I am also leaning towards that I will have to do a "this or that" post on soon. Maybe I will do this on Instagram. Keep an eye out!

Market & Spruce Moriah Cotton Embroidered Dress

This dress was different. It had the feel of burlap and wasn't very soft. It really did remind me of a burlap sack. I adored the color and loved that it had cap sleeves, but it just felt weird on me. I really wanted to love it and keep it for another occasion, but I couldn't make it work.

ASTR Hadley Wrap Maxi Dress

This dress was actually pinned on my Pinterest account so I was excited to see it in my box. I really, really wanted this dress to work. It is so pretty. It did not fit well around my bust and I needed to wear a tank top under it to cover up. It also felt like if I wrapped it higher it would have too much fabric above my shoulders. It just did not work well for my body shape at the moment. I can only hope in the future me and this dress could get another chance. It sadly went back.

I had a lot of fun with this fix. My little photo shoot was fun even though it was REALLY hot outside. Stitch fix makes it worth it though. I felt beautiful, even if I was sweating through it. Which dress is your favorite?
