Last month I posted a Stitch Fix reveal that ended up turning more into a body image discussion. It's okay though because I feel like fashion and body image go hand in hand more and more these days. I was not really feeling the items I received and it also made me super self conscious about sharing the photos on the internet.

Stitch Fix # 18
Wednesday, June 27, 2018
The more I photograph these fixes, the more I realize I love fashion. I was never a "fashionista" growing up. I just wore what was comfortable. I don't think I had a specific style per say. Although I do specifically remember a moment in my early 20's when I got to a friends house and she made a comment that I always looked so put together. Her and her boyfriend had been discussing how nice I always looked.
That make me feel awkward at the time. I never thought about what I wore. I just put clothes on and went out. Thinking back, I think I was more fashionable than I gave myself credit for. I suppose that fits my personality though. I am always so naïve about my talents, or my looks, or anything about myself really.
I remember standing in front of my closet two years ago and the wheels started turning. I started seeing pieces of my clothing matched with each other. Pieces I would have never put together normally. I got excited. I was always the girl who did the awesome makeup. Not the girl who had awesome fashion sense.
I had thought about subscribing to Stitch Fix for awhile, but always thought it would be a waste of my time. I told myself I already knew what I liked to wear. I told myself it would be too expensive. I told myself I wouldn't like to wear clothes someone else picked out.
I was so wrong about all of those things. I finally bit the bullet early last year. I was going to try one box and then cancel. I was so sure I wasn't going to like it enough to keep it going. Now here we are at fix number 18.
Stitch Fix has allowed me to try on pieces that I would never have picked out on my own. I have found quality items to add to my closet that again can be mix and matched with my existing wardrobe. It makes it fun to get dressed.
It also makes it fun to photograph. I love modeling the clothes I get sent. Even if I don't keep the items, I still get to freeze them in a frame to post here for you to see. I have been inspired to do more and more fashion posts because of Stitch Fix.
Now on to the photos. It was such a bright and cheerful fix that popped to the backdrop of my backyard.
For those of you unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, it is a monthly clothing subscription where you get a personal stylist to send you 5 pieces according to your profile. You have the opportunity to write your stylist a note each month further customizing your fix. You pay a $20 styling fee each month to receive the fix, which is then deducted from the cost of anything you keep from your fix. If you keep all 5 items you also receive a 25% discount. Pretty great right? If you have interest in trying out the fix, I would appreciate it greatly if you used my affiliate link.
First up is this Fortune + Ivy wrap dress. I have come to realize since I have given birth that wrap dresses just do not work for me. This one is also a bit too short for my liking. It is a pretty color, but not my style. This went back.
Not pictured because I some how forgot to photograph it is this pink Nine West Crossover. I thought it was really cute, but was not in the need for a new bag right now.
All in all I loved this fix. There were pieces I would never had picked out myself (hello shorts!). When it first arrived I thought maybe they sent me someone else's fix because it was so out of my comfort zone. But this is why I keep getting Stitch Fix. It forces me out of my comfort zone.
I also realize I need to do better on my photos for these posts. I am just lucky I got it done while it was still daylight to be honest. I literally ran down from my office after work and did this before I went to the gym. I only have so much "me" time now with the baby. Oh well! I am just glad it got done.

I really loved the color of this Papermoon blouse. I paired it with these really comfy joggers from my last fix that I kept. I already have something similar in my closet so I sent it back. Bonus here is seeing the rear end of Rick. He is such a photo bomber! Ever since he was Mr. May in the local SPCA calendar he demands the spotlight. Such a diva!
I really love this outfit. The Alice Blue top is simple and cool for the summer and pairs nicely with the RD Style shorts. The shorts are the only things I kept from this fix. They are comfy and have pockets!

Transition to Fall with Stitch Fix
Wednesday, August 30, 2017
Welp, it's happening guys. Summer will soon come to an end and Fall will be here. Not that Central NY got the memo. It's been pretty Fall-like here all week.
I was initially going to do a 6 month follow up for Stitch Fix to show you all of the items I've kept since starting with them back in February, but then had more fun turning all of the Spring/Summer items I got into Fall transition pieces.
I figured that would be a much better post. Don't you agree? So here we go.. Fall transition style with all of my Stitch Fix keepers.
For those of you unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, it is a monthly clothing subscription where you get a personal stylist to send you 5 pieces according to your profile. Pretty great right? If you have interest in trying out the fix, I would appreciate it greatly if you used my affiliate link.
Fix 1: February 2017
My first fix was pretty great. I did not keep everything, but I did do a full review on my first fix. Make sure to check it out to see how I styled everything then in the winter verses my keeps for Fall transition.
I paired the Gilli Hilda printed aline skirt with my hubby's purple polo top and a pair of purple converse sneakers to bring together this back to school outfit.
Also from this fix I kept the 41Hawthorn Aiton grommet detail blouse. I paired it with a pair of bootcut jeans and boots. Perfect for those mild days that turn into chilly nights!

Fix 2 - March 2017
Fix two came at the best and worst time. I did not write a post on this one as I was dealing with Cal. If you don't remember Cal, that was the kidney stone I was passing. Lovely right? Anywho...
I kept two pieces from that fix. The two have become one of my favorite outfits. This beautiful Pixley blouse with elephants and a pair of Just Black skinny jeans in this beautiful turquoise color. This outfit just works for all seasons in my opinion. The rich color of the jeans takes this into Fall. You can add a pair of riding boots and a scarf to really get that Fall feeling!
Fix 3: April
For my April fix I specifically asked for pieces as I was going to a wedding in May and needed some options. It was a casual wedding in the PA mountains. In May you can either get 100 degrees or 50 degrees depending on the day. I asked for Maxi dresses, a cardigan, and a spring jacket. This is the fix where I was so impressed with my stylist that I requested to keep her moving forward.
Here is what I kept:
This Wisp Pamala maxi dress was gorgeous. I ended up wearing this to the wedding as it is a bit dressier, but can also be dressed down. It is the perfect Fall dress, with its bright oranges and navy blues. This dress would be perfect with a denim jacket and a pair of boots.
I also kept this comfy Loveappella Carlita maxi dress and Absolutely Acada hooded cardigan. Together they are taking me into Fall. During the day I can wear it to an outside event and cover up with the cardigan as it gets chilly throughout the evening.
Fix 4: May 2017
May's box was a miss for me, but I did ask for a romper and this RD Style Bryanna romper showed up. I did not blog about this box as it was underwhelmed and a lot of the pieces did not fit properly.
I paired the romper with a scarlet red cardigan and black wedge booties. Such a cute back to school outfit. I think this is one of my favorite outfits for the Fall!
Fix 5: June 2017
I have to admit, this last outfit isn't as Fall, but it does have some rich oranges and yellows and it does make me think of Fall. I have been rocking this Pixley Palacio scoop neck tank and Kut From The Kloth Roxanne drawstring linen shorts. Just for fun I added some red Keen sandals that have some similar colors in the accents. I can see myself wearing this right into September while the weather figures itself out.
Fix 6 - July 2017
I absolutely loved my July fix. It had so many Fall colors and I was not able to keep everything I wanted. I did however blog about the fix with photos of all the items for your viewing pleasure. I kept the lovely Octavia Brooklyn crossbody bag that easily transition into fall. The beautiful teal color is amazing and screams Fall to me! This bag will sure get a lot of action.
So overall I have had a pretty amazing experience with my first 6 months of Stitch Fix. I have already received my August fix and can't wait to share with you this 5/5 fix! That's right, I'm keeping it all baby! Stay tuned for photos next week!
So what do you think of these Fall transition outfits using my fix keeps? I sure had fun photographing them so I hope you loved them as much I do!
Namaste!

Stitch Fix - April 2017
Monday, May 8, 2017
It's that time again, another fix has come and I am so excited to share it with you all! If you are unaware of what Stitch Fix is, it is a monthly clothing subscription box where your personal stylist sends you 5 fashion items. It can be clothing, jewelry, shoes, scarves, or purses. You set up a profile of your likes, dislikes, and price points and they get to work!
Check out my very first fix. I loved the first one. I also loved my second one, but was too sick to take photos. I will share some photos soon. This is my third fix, and I specifically asked for Maxi dresses, a cardigan, and a spring jacket. My stylist rocked it. Now here's what I got..
Loveappella Carlita Knit Maxi Dress - $78
I had this dress pinned on my pinterest board so I was so happy to see it show up! It is a petite so it is not too long on me and I really love the colors! For some reason this photo is not doing it justice, but I swear it is amazing in real life! So soft and summer themed! I absolutely kept this one!
Overall I loved the fix. I would of kept everything if it all fit correctly. Sorry for the blurriness of the photos. We were taking them in a hurry as we were losing the light and I really thought at first glance that they all came out okay. You get the point right?
So what do you guys think? Did my stylist do a good job?

Absolutely Acada Hooded Back Detail Cardigan - $54
So I really loved this cardigan. You can see it paired over the maxi in the first photo and the pretty detail and hood below. It was pretty big on me and I could of used a size down, however they were out of all other sizes. I was going to keep it anyway. When I put it on I noticed there was a snag in the arm so I was sad. I didn't want to spend $54 on a piece with a hole in it that was to big. I e-mailed Stitch Fix customer service and they gave me a discount if I wanted to keep it. I totally kept this! It has become one of my favorite comfy cover ups to wear around the house.
Noisy May Richelle Bomber Jacket - $68
I REALLY wanted to like this jacket. I did ask for a spring coat and they did deliver. Something was just not right with it though. The sleeves were long and I didn't like how short it was in the torso. It was super warm and light all at the same time, but I also already have a coat in this color. I had to send it back.
Wisp Pamala Knit Maxi Dress - $88
Guys, I absolutely fell head over feet in love with this one. It was light weight, the length was perfect and I could wear it to a wedding later this month! This is going to be a staple this summer. I am so excited to have 2 dresses in my wardrobe that are the perfect length. No more tripping or stepping on the bottom of my dresses! Kept!
THML Ranee Embroidered Dress - $78
I REALLY wanted to keep this dress. It was on my pinterest board so I was super happy to see it show up in my box. Everyone who saw the dress loved it. The only problem I had was the fit in my bust area. I am pretty large chested and I really needed a size up. When I checked to see if they had a size up initially they did. When I went to check out, it was sold out. I was kicking myself for waiting to do the exchange. I sadly had to send this one back.

Did you know my eyes are blue?
Wednesday, April 12, 2017
I got four compliments this week on how blue my eyes look. My eyes have always been my favorite feature. It made me smile to know the sparkle was back. People were noticing I am coming back to myself again. It's a great feeling.
I am excited about my makeup again. I like to play with my makeup and make my eyes pop. I am also noticing I am taking an interest in fashion. I have always liked looking at fashion, but was always scared to try new things.
I recently signed up for Stitch Fix. You may have caught my first fix. I was dealing with a lot when my second fix came in March. I absolutely loved everything that came in but never had a chance to post it. I got a pair of teal skinny jeans, something I would have never bought myself, and I have to say, I am in love.
I am expanding my horizons. I am working on getting healthy. Things are going good. I am looking forward to my next fix which should be here next weekend. I can't wait to share it with you all. I asked for some specific pieces, as I have a wedding coming up next month.
I am not quite sure where this post is going, but I wanted to ramble on about my interests coming back. I am happy again to try new things. It's a wonderful feeling.

5 Day Goals Vol. 1
Monday, March 20, 2017
Happy First day of Spring! Although there is still quite a bit of snow out there, I know the nicer weather is coming. It also makes Monday seem a little friendlier when the word "Spring" is associated with it. Am I right?
So today I want to introduce a new 5 day challenge and also let you know with pictures how I did last week. Last week I challenged myself to get dressed 5 days in a row. That to me meant changing out of what I wore to bed into something new. Working from home can make it easy to hop out of bed in your PJ's and start work.
I am excited to announce that I met my goal and dressed all 5 days! I learned it really made me feel put together and made me take my work seriously. I also realized I own A LOT of leggings! But ya know what? When you sit 8 hours a day, this is okay in my book. Plus it's winter.
Here's the proof!
This week I am challenging myself to drink 80 ounces of water every day. Spring is here and I am ready to start working on myself. I gained some weight over the winter and clothing is a bit snug. Time to work towards that summer goal so I don't need to buy a new swimsuit! My current one is new from last year.
Will you be joining me in this challenge? Check back to see my results next week!

My first Fix.. Stitch that is
Friday, March 3, 2017
Forgive me if I'm bad at this, I am not normally game for have photos taken of me. I finally decided to take the plunge and check out Stitch Fix. I have to say, for my first "fix" I was pretty impressed. I really did like everything my stylist sent me.
I went over to my bestie's house last weekend to help her pack, (she moved away this past week, booo) and she repaid me by letting me model these clothes. I had a dream the night before of how I was going to style each piece. I hope you like it! (Yes, I know my photos are all different sizes. I am sorry about that, but this week got nuts and I didn't fix everything as good as I could....)
First up is the Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse in XLP. This shirt reminded me of summer so bad! I had to pair them with my new bright LulaRoe leggings and Target sandles. I was hoping the weather was going to be nicer than it was (It was raining and in the 40's!) but you can't make the weather do what you want, so I braved it and got this shot. I really loved this top, but I was afraid I wouldn't wear it as much as I would like. RETURNED.
Next up is this beautiful Wilco Solid Quilted Vest in XL. I really wanted to love this. It was so pretty and would go with anything. Unfortunately when I had it on it felt to bulky. I am clearly not a vest person. I paired this with some Not Your Daughter's Skinny Jeans and a pair of brown riding boots. All ready for spring.. or fall right? RETURNED
Next up is this gorgeous teal Aiton Grommet Detail blouse in XL. I fell in love with this from the beginning. I am a sucker for blue hues and this was right up my alley. I once again paired this with my NYDJ Skinny jeans and my boots. Looking at the photo now, I wish I would have belted this at the waist. Something to try next time I wear it.. KEPT
Next up is this Hilda Printed Aline Skirt in LP. I loved the fit of this skirt. It was versatile and could be worn all year round. I paired it with this blue quarter sleeved shirt and black flats. According to my hubby, this was his favorite outfit. KEPT
Last, but certainly not least was this Mink Floral Filigree Collar Necklace. I really love this necklace, but I could not get behind the price. I could probably find something similar for a better price. It went well with my outfit and it was very light, but I am sure I can find it elsewhere for a little bit less. RETURNED.
So there you have it. My very first fix! What do you think? Did I make the right choices on what I kept? Did my stylist do a good job in your opinion? I love that she sent me petite items. That really helps a lot! I can't wait for this months box to show up!
How I Wore My Lularoe: Wedding Edition
Wednesday, November 9, 2016
To help forget the election results, I bring to you a fun post! I get to look back on all of my outfits through my wedding "season". I didn't realize until the other day that I wore LulaRoe for all of the events leading up to my big day. Today I am showing you how versatile LulaRoe is and how they have many pieces that are not only stylish, but also very comfortable.
I jumped on the LulaRoe wagon back in July and I currently own more than I want to admit. Everything I own, I wear regularly, so I don't feel guilty for my purchases.
For my bridal shower I wore my Amelia. A comfy dress with a zipper in the back. You can also turn this dress around and wear with the zipper in the front. I paired this with bride socks.. Nailed it!
For my bachelorette parry, I chose this flirty get up. I paired a salmon top with my lovely Cassie. A stretchy pencil skirt that works on any body shape. And let's not forget that pink tiara veil to bring it all together! (Yes I am holding a VERY large stein with water in it. Blame October fest!)

For my rehearsal I word this Fall patterned Carly dress. Its a high low design that feels like you're wearing pajamas, while looking stylish. Now wearing those 4 inch heals were NOT like wearing my PJ's but hey, it was for the wedding right?

This is Halloween
Monday, October 31, 2016
Can anyone guess what I was for Halloween? I was channeling my inner Blair Waldorf. I had a lot of fun with this outfit. I have these glorious mustard yellow leggings I have wanted to wear, but couldn't decide what to wear them with.
If you remember the show, Gossip Girl, you will remember Blair's wardrobe. Lots of primary bold colors mixed with a very professional feel. I mixed the mustard yellow leggings with a grey pencil skirt, a blue blouse and pulled the outfit together with a fall plaid coat and Blair's signature headband.
I attended Wizarding Weekend and took the opportunity to dress up. Not everyone was dressed as a witch or wizard, plus I felt like I could also just pass for a muggle. I had a great time and the weather was actually to warm for the coat, but I was in costume, so I grin and bared it!
What did you dress up as?
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween Fashions Featuring Skulls
Monday, October 24, 2016
Today I am doing something a little different. I am going to showcase some fashion for your viewing pleasure. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday, I figured I would show off a few ways I would dress the week leading up to Halloween. I am going to show you two looks involving wearing skulls. Now I know some people are not a huge fan, so I went one for the girl who doesn't mind wearing black, and one for the gal who adores her pinks.
The first look incorporates a black sweater dress with some fun Halloween leggings. I added the skull accent with a scarf and finishing off the look with some ankle boots and a red lip. This is a look I would wear to the office for Halloween.
The next look is a little more for the girly girl who isn't much for black. I paired a salmon pink top which was thrifted and a pair of fun skull leggings from the LulaRow Halloween capsule.
The outfit is tied together with some bright magenta socks and ankle boots.
I had a blast putting together these outfits and shooting my first photoshoot for this blog. The weather has been pretty dreary here in NY the last few days, so I was happy to get a dry day to model these outfits while it was still Fall looking outside. Notice my porch is a little decorated for fall.. those flowers were parking markers from our wedding! I thought it was fun to attach them to the porch for a festive look.
Stay tuned for some more fun outfits coming your way! I am thinking about doing something weekly because, why not?!

The black sweater dress was found brand new on Thred Up. If you aren't using Thred Up you are missing some great deals. I have provided my referral link. You get $10 when you sign up with my link! The scarf was a find at the local thrift shop.
These leggings are my new favorites! They are from the LulaRoe Halloween capsule. They are a fun addition to any dress or tunic this time of year.
